306 (Neil) (Rejected)
So, I'm thinking about these things:
* The game needs more complexity, at the moment, we're making convoluted logical conflicts less likely.
* I like things which mess with game mechanics. Ref. favourite card in Dominion is Throne Room. Introducing these seems like a good route to complexity.
How about a proposal like:
It goes without saying that managing any infringements would be covered by judgement, so I haven't written a load of that.
What do you think? Principle? Specific suggestion?

306. Throne Room:
After the conclusion of a proposal (at the time of this rule, conclusion means acceptance or rejection) the next proposer may send one email to dice@nomic.net with the below parameters before they begin their proposal:
#P [the email addresses of all the current players of the game]
#S [x]
#D 1
#R 1
#L 1
#C [as you please]
#T Rolling: [Number and name of proposer]
Where:
* any parameter enclosed in square brackets is to be completed with the appropriate content
* x is 9 for proposal 307, 7 for proposal 308 and 5 for proposals after and including proposal 309
If the roll returned by the nomic.net roller is 1, then the proposer shall be permitted a further proposal, immediately after the one they are about to start.
In the following circumstances, the proposal shall be immediately rendered a null proposal, receiving negative votes from all players, including the proposer:
* Sending the roll request after the first post of their proposal
* Sending more than one roll request
* Sending a roll request with the wrong parameters
It goes without saying that managing any infringements would be covered by judgement, so I haven't written a load of that.

I don't understand what all the things are, and how i would determine the parameters. I like the principle, but I would need to understand how it works.

Re: 306 (Neil) (Rejected)
Given more than 48 hours has passed since the last proposal was accepted a vote has automatically been called.
I like the idea but I'm not sure why x reduces on each round. It is also unclear what happens if the roll is wrong but they score a 1.
Anyway I vote against.

x reduces for the first three goes in order to 'taper in' the benefit, the probability of getting a 1 is a little lower for the first proposal after mine, then a little larger, then 20% flat for everyone.
Good point, would have been fabulous if you could have made it sooner.

Oh dear. Mike has voted against. So it fails anyway. Neil gets more points if I vote for. So I don't.
Sorry. I feel dirty. But not as much as I would if I gave points away.
